Hydrogen Peroxide. Another staple in any medicine cabinet, soak the affected toenails in hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes. Do this twice per day, and then dry with a clean towel. If the hydrogen peroxide proves to be too harsh for you, you can mix the hydrogen peroxide with equal parts warm water.









Listerine. Listerine is good for more than just mouthwash. Again, soak your toes for 20 minutes, 2 times per day. The antiseptic in the mouthwash will kill the fungal infection.









Vicks VapoRub. The effects of Vicks VapoRub and toenail fungus are not consistent. It works for some better than others. Rub Vicks on your affected toenail and wrap with gauze a couple times per day. Vicks has shown to stop fungal growth, but not eradicate it. If you are looking for a home remedy for toenail fungus, this should be a last resort.
